50 shades of his birthday

The love of my life celebrated his birthday  this past week, He's never really celebrated any of his past birthdays so I made it my mission to ensure that he had the best birthday ever. since he's a real stickler when it comes to birthdays.  A month prior to this birthday, I asked what he planned on doing and per usual his response was "nothing". Now for those that know me know that i absolutely love birthdays so there was no way in hell that I would sit back and watch him not celebrate yet another birthday. Not on my watch , it wasn't happening . No sir !!!

I made reservations for a suite at nylo hotel in Warwick RI. Booked him a full body massage at the spa , ordered a 18X24 canvas of him and his daughter. 

I decided on a more simplified scavenger hunt to get the ball rolling. I would text him a countdown daily as the weekend slowly approached. 

First clue : "On September 17th my heart was born. As we celebrate another year of blessings together , let's live it up & make sure to Bring the woman of your dreams with you " 😊😉😘🙌🏿☺️

We arrived at the suite , we got settled in; I went downstairs for some ice and sent him his next clue "As you have a long night ahead of you, it's only right that you get in gear. There's nothing like a nice set of hands 🙌🏿 to get your night started🎊" Your next destination is at

When I arrived back to the room ; he was gone which gave me the opportunity to spice the place up. I asked my good friend Brittney to help me put everything together. she brought some red rose pedals, light up candles, red wine, chocolate, wine glasses etc. as she was setting up the room , Elsie was doing my makeup . I know it sounds like a full blown production lol , Well I guess you can say that ☺️. 

His spa session was for an hour and half so I was hoping that would be enough time to get everything done ..WRONG!!! 

I had to call in for some extra assistance , I called his good friend Kofi boachie to distract him and he was able to do so for an additional 36 minutes. 👍🏾👍🏾☺️. Upon his return everything was good to go. He walked in and the look on his face was priceless. He was more than pleased with everything. He got dressed and we headed to a Mediterranean restaurant called Circe located on weybosett street in providence, RI . since he loves Mediterranean food. He ordered a lobster salad & I simply had a calamari . I'm not really a fan of Mediterranean food. 😷

We headed back to the hotel room where I slipped into something a little more sexy (sorry mom but your girl is all grown up ) 😂😂😂 & lets just say I might have something cooking in the oven jk jk jk . TMI I KNOW , but I must say we spent the remainder of the evening discussing our future plans and how far we have Come. He is truly my rock and I was glad to make his bday weekend eventful & the smile on his face made it all worth it. 

It's so funny the way God works , you can look for it your entire life ... Then stumble upon what you think may be it but yet when you least expect it .. BOOM

THERE IT IS.. It may not always be perfect but as God lies as the foundation and center of the relationship you can always work through the rough patches .

I won the jackpot with Clifford , he may not have hard rock abs like the world tells girls to want in a guy but really why does that even matter when you are trying to find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with ? He is so thoughtful and patient , he always shows me how he loves me in little ways , he is indeed my best friend. I love him for who he is (which is annoying lol ) & he loves me for who I am (which is amazing lol ) since I was young like many other girls I dreamed about whom I would end up with. Once I gave my life to Christ and saw examples of Godly relationships, I wanted that . God saw the desires of my heart and gave me cliffy . He brings me to closer to God through prayer and his love . I know God will use us both for awesome things because we make such a great team.
